How many ornaments? Should I wait?

HI,

How many Hallmark AG ornaments were made? From what I've pieced together on Ebay I *believe* they were available 2002, 2003, & 2004. I also think there was one for each of the 8 girl's (pre-Nellie & Eliz.) So, if my math is correct that would be 24, right? And the figurines...were there only 8 of those?

I've watched them on Ebay, but funds are tight right now. My dd has 4 of them (Sam, Kirsten, & Kit Bday ones & Felicity from 2004) & she honestly isn't interested in having all 24, but I know she would love to have the other two Kit ones. Will they be around after Christmas? Looks like the Christmas dress Kit is a little harder to find.

That's funny because I was wondering the same thing yesterday. I won one of Kirsten's ornaments off e-bay.

I would like to collect all of her ornamnets but I did not know how many

Yes, each of the girls (minus Nellie and Liz) have 3 ornaments each. I only wanted the ones for Lissie and Kirsten since they're my faves, and I was able to find all of them at Hallmark last year except one Lissie one.

I believe I'm telling the order right on these, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I think the ones for 2002 were the Christmas/Winter ones. (for some reason, this one of Kirsten's has her wearing her winter outfit instead of her Christmas outfit like all the other girls).

For 2003, they had the Birtday ones. All the girls were wearing their b'day outfits.

For 2004, all of the girls were in their meet outfits and came with a tiny accessory ornament. (i.e. Kirsten came with a tine and Lissie came with a horse brush)

I'm not sure which year it came out, but Kit had one extra set of ornaments they called "Kit's Treasures".

All of the ornaments were very nice, but I decided to just get the ones for my favorite girls. I don't hang them on my tree, they are still in their boxes right now. I want to later have a shelf put up to display them because they look so nice.

It looks like all of the girls except Kaya got a figurine. Again, I only got Lissie and Kirsten. I see a lot of the Hallmark stuff on ebay. When you search for it, if you just put in 'american girl hallmark' it will pull up all kinds of stuff. You could even add the name of the girl whose stuff you're looking for to narrow it down. They had so much stuff and it was all so neat!

Just wanted to add, it seems that it's always pretty easy to find the ornaments on ebay, but the only reason you may want to wait is because people pay a TON more money for stuff on ebay around Christmastime. I have a hard time trying to win anything around this time. I bet around the first week of January it will slow down a lot and you'll get a better deal. Just my [img]graemlins/money.gif[/img] . You are right, there were 3 of each.

I finally completed our collection last month. The ornaments are so much cuter and more detailed than the figurines were. We have them sitting on a shelf as figurines. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I imagine you'll still find them on ebay AFTER christmas and could probably get a better price then too.

I have the 2004 Felicity ornament and the Felicity figurine. I've been looking at the 2002 Felicity ornament, but crazy prices on ebay will make me wait until January. [img]wink.gif[/img] I just got a great BIN on the Hallmark Felicity picture frame...it's much bigger and sturdier than I thought it would be! It's beautiful.
